Shai Wetzer
Shai Wetzer was born and raised in Israel, where he began playing drums at age twelve in classical orchestras. He graduated Berklee College of Music in Boston. Shai has performed and recorded with a wide array of performers across many genres; including Danny Sanderson, Alon Olearchik, TeaPacks, Vered Harari Wetzer, Sandcatchers, Diaspora, Canaanite Groove, and the legendary group Kaverert’s album and documentary titled "HaMofa HaAcharon" ( המופע האחרון, lit. "The Last Concert").
He has performed with bands in Europe, South Africa, South America, Canada, and the United States. Earlier this year, he produced a concert in Tel Aviv of his album "Prayer of the Rose" (which can be found on Band Camp and Spotify).
Shai also played drums, frame drum and riq in “The Band’s Visit” National Tour, and drums and percussion for “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” and "Crazy For You" at Ogunquit Playhouse. His song "Hashayara" was featured in an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles. He frequently plays for Romemu Brooklyn and is a judge for the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
