Alex Farha is a multi-instrumentalist performing on guitar, oud, darbuka, riq, and frame drum. Born to Venezuelan and Colombian parents and raised in Miami, Alex has called Chicago home since 2010.

 

His music is informed by an interest in the folk traditions of his Latin American and Arab heritage. In 2019 he joined the first national tour of The Band's Visit as a music swing covering guitar, oud, and percussion. He has performed with several jazz, rock, and Arabic music projects in and outside of Chicago.
